Introducing more lifelike PC gaming

The gaming vest creates more lifelike gamingIf you are here and reading this then chances are, like me, you are a gamer. We appreciate the worlds that are created for us.

We appreciate the care that goes into the artwork and the storylines of those very same games. The programmers along with the publishing companies strive each and every day to bring us – the gamer society more lifelike gaming.

As the gaming culture we are their sounding boards for everything they release. When they listen to us they are blessed with winners. With top ten ranked game and peripherals. When the do not take what we say seriously then you wind up with the SegaCD and Parappa the Rappa. That is certainly enough incentive to take what we say as gospel. Who knows what gamers want more than gamers? Nobody.

Lifelike gaming is no easy cakewalk. There is a lot to take into consideration when planning to make a game so real you can get lost within its walls of computer generated images.

Creating beautiful gaming graphics

Designers have been creating beautiful pieces of gaming genius over the last several years that immerse you into a game through its graphics and engrossing storylines. Well crafted stories have the ability to bring your subconscious into a game to make it seem real, lifelike and even sometimes alive.

There was a game some years ago called Majestic-12 that revolved around conspiracies and it immersed you into the game so much that the game would call your cell phone, land line, e-mail you and even sent you faxes! Now that is what I call realistic!

Besides the games looking and feeling more real and immersive there comes a time when lifelike becomes more than just an auditory or visual thing. It has to be physical too. More than just the use of the standard controller as Nintendo had introduced the Power Glove and then a Power Mat (same technology that goes into the dance mats).

Using peripherals for more lifelike gaming

TN Games ForceWear Gaming VestsWe had more realistic joysticks for flight simulators and now, with Guitar Hero and Rock Band we have controllers that vastly resemble real instruments (especially the drums, my instrument of choice).

Realism is the order of business though and making games as lifelike as possible is the ultimate goal of any gaming company worth their silicon.

I love realism and giving me all of these great peripherals goes a long way to getting to that point but it took the gaming vest to really set my mind at ease.

A military (pretty darn stylish) style vest filled with empty sacks waiting to be filled with rapid air to give the ultimate feeling of being punched, kicked, stabbed, shot or even feel the G-Forces of your favorite air battle game. That is what I call lifelike gaming.

All of the other peripherals, including Nintendo’s Wii (the epitome of immersive gaming), can merely step aside. Although the gaming vest is currently only available for the PC there will be a conversion pack coming soon for all of you console lovers out there.
